Orthodontics is about the straightening of teeth. At our Harley Street dental practice in London W1, we offer a wide variety of fixed and removable orthodontic treatments.

An initial consultation starts with a discussion about how you feel about your teeth and what can be done to improve their appearance and, if necessary your bite.
You will probably also have digital x-rays and photographs - and may need some impressions to help your orthodontist plan the treatment.

An important factor, especially for adult patients, is the appearance of the teeth so our fixed orthodontics consist of natural coloured 'brackets' that blend naturally with your own teeth. Alternatively, you can choose Invisalign, a technique that involves clear positioners that are practically invisible.

What is an Orthodontist?

An orthodontist is a dentist with who specialises in straightening teeth. 'Ortho' is the Latin for correct and 'odont' means tooth, so an orthodontist puts things right.

Our orthodontist Dr Parita Bagheri offers a wide variety of fixed and removable orthodontic treatments, but her special interest is adult orthodontics.

During your initial consultation Parita will discuss your likes and dislikes about your teeth, and tell you what can be done to improve them in terms of appearance, and perhaps also in the way they bite together.

Types of Braces:

  • Lingual Braces
  • Invisible Braces (invisalign)
  • Ceramic Braces
